3 Fantastic Books That Changed My Life in 2019

Good books Africa Boy

Last year was the biggest of my life. I experienced large amounts of growth in certain areas and witnessed several massive changes. I began the hardest school year of my life, was elected as captain of my basketball team, and began this blog. Three massive responsibilities on a sixteen-year-old back. And I wonder why I have back problems.

I’ll admit, it was hard. In fact, 2019 was the hardest year of my life. I struggled with feelings of depression, doubt, anger, and anxiety. And yet, through it all, God was (and is) good. With that, I owe a few thanks to the people that stood by me in 2019.

But First, Coffee

Coffee

Most mornings, I wake up to a vibration on my wrist. My FitBit (a knockoff, mind you) has an alarm function that, instead of beeping, vibrates to wake you up. Morning Routines

I am often a creature of habit. Because of this, I usually do the same things in the morning.

6:15- Wake up

6:20-6:50- Drink coffee, spend time journaling, spend time reading the Bible.

6:50-7:30- Set the table, make my bed, fill the water filters, etc.

I usually stick to this plan, save for the mornings that I go for a run. As it is, this habit proves intensely useful in a world that rejects Bible reading. When we, as Christians, take the time to spend thirty minutes in Jesus, our days and hearts are affected. Guys, I cannot emphasize this enough. Reading the Bible in the morning is crucial to our life as Christians. There. I tried to emphasize it. Setting a Biblical reading goal and sticking to it is the best way to get closer to Him.
