Starting the week off with a good blog post is important. That’s why I usually post every Monday, without fail. With the weekend gone, a writer should know that his readers are, for the most part, depressed and probably tired of work. So, because of this, we writers should do everything we can to make our Monday posts special.
Thankfully, there are several blogs that put a fantastic amount of effort into making their blogs truly special. These blogs are run by professional authors with years of writing under their belts, putting them leagues ahead of the game. If you don’t already know them, you should absolutely check them out. They just might make your day.
The Gospel Coalition is run by a group of well-known Christian authors, including the famous John Piper. They post several posts a day, including guest posts. These usually revolve around Christian living and Theology, as well as discussions on current events.
Another blogging website with John Piper at the helm, Desiring God is a wonderful resource and website. The site includes Christian podcasts, sermons, books, posts, and more. It also features the wildly popular “Ask Pastor John” segment, in which John Piper answers questions from readers. They post between 12 and 18 times a week.
A website that I have published on, The Reb is basically The Gospel Coalition for teenagers. Created by the authors of the book Do Hard Things, The Reb posts once every day on subjects relevant to teens. If you are between the ages of 13 and 20, you definitely need to check this website out.
Run by a fantastic writer and brother in the Lord, Jesusluvsall is central and to the point- it’s about Jesus. Posts are published daily, all well-written and relevant. A fantastic blog.
Run by fantastic writer and blogger Lydia Potter, this website is a truly delightful one to read. Lydia posts biweekly, so a new follower will not need to worry about being spammed with daily emails. Make sure to check her blog out and give her a like.
Keziah is a wonderful writer, one not afraid to tackle difficult subjects. To be honest, out of all of these personal blogs, hers is probably my favorite. Even though I am not a dancer (I am part of the anti-dancing movement), her post, “Get Dancin'”, found here, was quite inspiring. Keziah posts several times a week, often on controversial topics. Be sure to follow her blog especially.
Alright, that’s all for today. Hopefully, you have enjoyed reading these excellent blogs. Next Monday I am going to announce the launching of a friend’s personal blog, so stay tuned!
